Fall registration has opened for the Niagara School for Missional Leadership. They will offer the following courses:

  • Christian Foundations I with Rob Jones explores God's Mission for the world. This course brings a deeper understanding of the "story-so-far" and God's nature and character in a relational context.

  • Anglican Polity 101: How We Do Things Around Here with Bishop Susan Bell guides students through "How We Do Things Around Here," providing an introduction to Anglican History and an exploration of the Anglican Church in Canada.

  • Pastoral Care Fundamentals: Presence, Paying Attention, and Prayer with Archdeacon Terry DeForest helps students to build a range of pastoral care skills, teaching practices focused on being present and paying active attention to others' needs, providing the foundations to accompany them prayerfully.

NSML will also be launching a two-year certificate course in Mission Practice with our diocesan community missioner, Canon Ian Mobsby.  This course will explore the foundations for mission practice, looking at the Anglican and ecumenical understandings of mission. It will also explore mixed ecology, fresh expressions, and church planting in its first year. In Year 2, the course will focus on developing the proficiency for mission practice, guiding students through new ways of bringing loving service to the communities.

Courses will be available for registration on NSML.ca.
