Rule of Life with Bishop Lynne

Entering a new year is often a time to rethink priorities in life. Bishop Lynne is offering a 2 hour workshop on how to create your own “Rule of Life”, Thursday Jan 8, either 1:00p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time. There will be a follow-up session on Thursday Feb. 12.

The spiritual practice of forming a “Rule of Life” is an ancient tradition for Christians. A “Rule” is not a list of dos and don’ts but a framework or guide of healthy practices one wants to keep. From the Latin word regula meaning “pattern”, a Rule of life is a guide for growth. It is a custom-designed personal covenant with God.

This workshop begins a series on “Prayer Tools” led by members of The Spiritual Development Committee of the Diocese, offering various experiential workshops throughout the year to introduce different prayer practices you may wish to add to your own covenant with God.
