Are you called to serve God's people?
Are you called to be aleader in the Christian community?
Do you have gifts for teaching and preaching?
Do you have the heart of a pastor?
All baptized Christians are called to be witnesses to the good news of God in Christ. We are all “members of the body of Christ” with our own parts to play. My calling is to serve as a seminary trained priest in the Anglican Church. The sacramental life is at the heart of what I do and who I am as a priest. Whether I am celebrating the Eucharist, offering pastoral counselling, chairing a meeting, writing a sermon, visiting the sick, teaching, training others, taking part in the wider life of the Diocese, or simply looking after the administration of a parish, I do it as a sign of “the holy”. As a priest, I share in the spiritual journeys of others from birth until death; I share in the vision and work of the Church; and I meet and work with a diversity of gifted members of the body of Christ. Priestly ministry is invigorating, exhausting, rewarding, challenging, and deeply meaningful -The Rev. Canon Mike Stuchbery
The discernment process takes time as you, the local Church you are a part of, and the diocesan church all listen for the Spirit in the many conversations as well as the formal process of the Church.
