DESCRIPTION:Update from Ian Dixon\, Camp Director\n\nAs we continue moving 
 forward with the rebuild of Camp OAC\, we are grateful for the many partne
 rships that are helping shape the future of the site.\n\nCamp OAC has been
  working alongside a student engineering team from the University of Briti
 sh Columbia Okanagan as part of their capstone project. This collaboration
  has brought thoughtful analysis\, fresh perspectives\, and meaningful con
 tributions toward planning the next phase of Camp OAC. This partnership be
 gan last fall\, focusing on applying engineering knowledge to real-world c
 hallenges at the camp. Throughout the project\, the team has worked throug
 h several key phases including initial scoping of the site’s unique need
 s and constraints\, technical simulations examining elements such as water
  flow and land features\, and ongoing collaboration with our team to refin
 e concepts and align them with the long-term vision for Camp OAC.\n\nThe s
 tudents have explored a range of areas such as site layout and planning\, 
 infrastructure and services\, environmental considerations\, and long-term
  sustainability. Their work has focused on identifying practical\, forward
 -looking solutions that support both the safe use of the site and future d
 evelopment as we continue rebuilding.\n\nThis work will be presented at th
 e Capstone Project Showcase and Competition on Friday\, April 10th from 2
 :00 to 4:00pm at KF Aerospace Centre for Excellence.\n\nMore information a

  opportunity to see the work firsthand\, learn more about the ideas being 
 explored for Camp OAC\, and support the students as they present alongside
  their peers.\n\nWe are incredibly thankful for the energy\, creativity\, 
 and technical expertise this team has brought to Camp OAC. Their contribut
 ions are helping lay a strong foundation as we continue to rebuild and pla
 n for the future.\n\nThank you again for the continued support\, encourage
 ment\, and community involvement that continue to move Camp OAC forward.\n
